I never really given much thought about how hard it is to be a model until I had my very first official photo shoot. Don’t get the first sentence wrong, I was the photographer and not the model. (laughs)
I remember those boring times when there isn’t any good TV show on air, and the only worthwhile TV show that I can watch is America’s Next Top Model, well then boredom did paid off. I was a bit curios before why the judges on that show constantly whine about the photos, giving out critics on their postures, expressions and the way they express their body language on the set. I didn’t really understood until just yesterday during our shoot. No wonder those models get so emotional and bursts into tears due to pressure and frustration.
I’m not really a fan of that show but I must say I learned a lot on that show. And the good thing is that I learn tips on how to direct models with postures and expressions, be aware of the right angles and lightings and of course have fun. I do enjoy art and creativity as much as those photographers. Though I’m not really into portraits since my great love is for landscapes/nature photography, it’s still nice to learn new things. I may not be a great photographer as I’m still a shutterbug but I’m happy my first photo shoot turned out fine. I consider every good photo as my masterpiece. It’s good to feel a sense of accomplishment every once in awhile.
